ColorGuard

ColorGuard is an oil based semi-transparent sealer and stain in one. It is a unique blend of resin, pigment, oil, and algicide that penetrates deeply into wood to protect and preserve it from the elements. ColorGuard can be used on all types of wood. ColorGuard contains trans-oxide pigment that acts as the UV protection. The trans-oxide pigment help protect your wood from fading and graying. Darker colors provide more UV protection. To properly maintain wood, a light cleaning and re-coat is recommended every two years on horizontal surfaces and every 3 to 4 years on vertical surfaces. Variances in the product longevity may be caused by original surface condition, application of product, and geographic location. ColorGuard is intended for exterior wood surfaces only.

How does Lake Country Deck Renewal Apply the product to my Deck?

1. Site Preparation
   We carefully isolate the work area, greenery and structures.
2. Clean
   We apply our environmentally friendly, biodegradable soaps and cleaning agents to gently clean the surface with our orbital scrubbers and washers.
3. Rinse
   We thoroughly rinse the cleansed surface until the debris has been removed.
4. Stain
   We stop at this point and allow the deck to thoroughly dry. We return in 7-10 days and apply two coats of Lake Country Deck Renewal´s Seal-N-Stain.
5. Clean Up
   The surface, now cleaned, is either sealed or allowed to dry. Before leaving, we remove all protective tarps and supplies from the work area.
6. After Care
   We return in 7-10 days to touch-up anything missed during the initial cleaning process, sand if necessary, and stain the project if selected.
